About Dr. Brian Day

The Cambie Surgery Centre (CSC) was opened in 1996 by a group of nationally and internationally renowned doctors and independent investors. With the vision of Dr. Brian Day, it was the first medical facility of its kind in Canada. The founders wanted to build a facility where highly skilled doctors could perform surgery on their patients in an environment that offered them access to the latest technology in a setting that emphasized exceptional patient care.

About Dr. Ed Lowe

Edward Lowe, B.Sc., D.M.D., is a 1986 graduate of the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Dentistry who established and heads the Vancouver Centre for Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia. Dr. Lowe is an active member of the Canadian Dental Association and American Dental Association. In addition, he is an accredited member and adjudicator of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

He started his first 20 years of practice in partnership with his father, a certified specialist in prosthodontics. In 1983, Dr. Zokol started his career in implant dentistry and graduated from the Misch Implant Institute in 1993.

About Dr. Stephen Kirzner

Coal Harbour Eye Centre’s Medical Director and Chief Surgeon is Dr. Steven Kirzner. A conscientious and dedicated eye surgeon, he has been involved in his own private ophthalmic practice in 1985. After successfully completing his training in refractive surgery in 1990 he devoted his time solely to laser refractive surgery and has performed over 35,000 procedures to date, both LASIK & PRK.

About Dr. Susan Braun

Susan Braun is an energetic entrepreneur, who is committed to providing the highest levels of care and service in aesthetic medicine. For five years she worked as a Registered Nurse in the operating room at Vancouver General Hospital. Having decided to further her education, she then graduated from UBC in the Faculty of Dentistry in 1986. For the next 10 years she built her solo dental practice. With her strong entrepreneurial instincts and finely tuned sense of timing, Susan Braun stopped practising dentistry and turned her attention to laser hair removal, a brand new cosmetic treatment. In June 1996, the Brauns opened Vancouver Laser and Skin Care Centre, the first clinic for laser hair removal in Canada!
